Safeguarding at SBS

We all have a responsibility to keep children safe. The Designated Safeguarding Lead has additional responsibilities in ensuring the safety and well-being of children who are pupils at the school The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is supported by the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSL).

The DSL and DDSLs are the main point of contact for anyone who is concerned about a child. They are also responsible for leading on:

• safeguarding policies and procedures
• staff training and development 
• receiving concerns about a child
• reporting, storing and retaining child protection records ensuring that the school’s policies and procedures are followed.
