Rochdale Science Share

Miss Ford took 8 year 5 children to present and share their work on 'Sustainability in Science'  - the children had grown seeds hydroponically and with soil and had compared how they had grown. 

Sponsored Lake Walk - May 2024

On Friday 24th May, the whole school took part in a sponsored walk around Hollingworth Lake to raise funds for our Outdoor Play and Learning Provision. We raised a staggering £5772.79 . Although we didn't have the sunshine we had hoped for, we had a great time and the children were very well behaved. We were so proud to be out as a school community in our local area. We cannot thank you enough for your support and we look forward to sharing with you what we have bought for the children in the near future.

Eid Celebration 2024

We had a lovely day of celebrations in school. The children enjoyed learning about the importance of Eid for the Muslim community and they had lots of fun throughout the day too. Our thanks to Samar for coming into school and  giving an insight into his Eid celebrations with his family and friends. Thank-you for your donations; We raised a fantastic £164 for local Islamic charities and this will go to helping those in need. Thank you for your support and to our parents who brought additional treats!

Young Voices 2024

19 members of our choir attended Young Voices at the AO Arena in Manchester on Monday evening, joining 9,100 children from schools across the North West and professional musicians. The children were outstanding ambassadors for our school and the evening concert was a wonderful event enjoyed by staff, children and family members in the audience. It was an incredible experience and memories were certainly made! Well done to all involved and we are very much hoping to return to the event again next year. Thank-you to all the grown ups who have supported us, enabling children to attend weekly rehearsals and then the concert. We wouldn’t be able to attend special events such as this without you!
